Cloud & Microsoft 365
Migration that finishes, a tenant configured the way it should have been on day one, and a licence bill that matches the number of people who actually work here.
Almost everyone has migrated. Very few have finished
The mailboxes moved years ago. What tends not to have happened since: SharePoint structured deliberately, retention and sharing policies set, Teams governance defined, the on-premises file server decommissioned rather than left running “just in case”, and the tenant's security defaults revisited after the migration partner left.
The result is an organisation paying for a modern workplace while running a file-server workflow with extra steps, and carrying the risk of both.
We finish migrations other people started as often as we begin new ones. It is less glamorous work and it is usually where the return is.
From tenant design to the day people stop asking where files live
Technical delivery is half of it. The other half is making sure the new way is genuinely easier than the old way, or people will route around it.
- Tenant design & migration
- Exchange, file server, SharePoint and OneDrive migration with a staged cutover, coexistence during transition, and a decommissioning plan for what is left behind. Tenant-to-tenant migration for mergers and divestments.
- Entra ID & identity
- Directory design, hybrid join or cloud-only, conditional access architecture, group and licensing strategy, self-service password reset, and single sign-on for the third-party applications your people use daily.
- Teams & SharePoint
- Information architecture that reflects how your organisation actually works, a provisioning process so team sprawl does not start again, external sharing controls, retention policy, and meeting room hardware specified and deployed.
- Security & compliance configuration
- Defender for Office 365, Purview retention and sensitivity labelling where it earns its keep, data loss prevention, audit log retention, and alert policies routed to a queue that a person monitors.
- Azure workloads
- Virtual machines, Azure Files, site-to-site connectivity, Azure Virtual Desktop, and backup. Sized and reserved properly — cloud is only cheaper than a server room if somebody watches the meter.
- Adoption & enablement
- Short role-based sessions, a written “where things live” guide, champions identified in each team, and a support ramp for the fortnight after cutover when the questions actually arrive.
We audit your licences even though we resell them
An MSP with a licensing margin has an obvious reason not to look too hard at your subscription list. We look, we report what we find, and we accept the smaller invoice.
- Licences assigned to people who left. The most common finding, and the easiest money you will ever recover.
- Premium tiers where a lower tier fits — and, occasionally, the reverse, where consolidating to a higher tier removes three separate products.
- Duplicate capability you are paying for twice: a third-party backup, filter or MFA product already covered by your Microsoft subscription.
- Annual versus monthly commitment modelled against your actual headcount volatility, not a generic assumption.
- Non-profit and education pricing applied where you qualify. Many organisations do and have never claimed it.
- Azure reservations and right-sizing reviewed quarterly, with unused resources flagged rather than quietly billed.
What people ask
How long does a migration take?
For a 50-seat organisation moving mailboxes and a file server: six to ten weeks end to end, of which the cutover weekend is a small part. Most of the time goes into discovery, permissions mapping and the pilot group — and skipping that is what produces migrations people still complain about a year later.
Do we still need a server?
Sometimes. A line-of-business application with no cloud version, a large CAD or media library where latency matters, or a regulatory requirement for local processing are all legitimate reasons. What is not legitimate is keeping a domain controller alive because nobody documented what depends on it.
Can you migrate us from Google Workspace?
Yes — mail, calendars, contacts and Drive content, with a coexistence period so both platforms deliver mail during transition. The genuine work is shared-drive permission mapping, which rarely translates one-to-one and needs decisions from your team.
What happens to our data if we leave you?
Nothing. The tenant is in your name, the subscriptions are yours, and we hold delegated administrative access that you can revoke from your own portal in about thirty seconds. That arrangement is deliberate.
