The standard we build to

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not commissioned a formal independent audit against it, so we do not claim conformance — we claim intent, and specific measures we have taken. If we later have the site audited, we will publish the result here including anything it finds.

What we have done

• Keyboard. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link at the top of each page.
• Structure. Pages use real headings in a logical order, landmark regions, and lists marked up as lists — so a screen reader can navigate by structure rather than reading everything sequentially.
• Contrast. Body and heading text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 ratio required at Level AA, including white text on our blue sections.
• Motion. All animation is disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion. Nothing on this site flashes, auto-plays or moves without your action beyond a single slow status indicator, which also stops.
• Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to 400% zoom and to a 320 pixel viewport without horizontal scrolling or loss of content.
• Images. Meaningful images carry alternative text; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology.
• Forms. Every field has a persistent visible label — not a placeholder standing in for one — and errors are announced.
• Colour is never the only signal. Where we use our blue to indicate state, there is also a shape, a label or a position carrying the same information.

Known limitations

• Some image placeholders currently render descriptive text inside an SVG. These will be replaced with photographs and full alternative text as the photography is completed.
• Wide comparison tables scroll horizontally within their own container on small screens. The page itself does not scroll sideways, but the tables do require it. We are looking at a better small-screen presentation.
• We have tested with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS. We have not yet tested comprehensively with JAWS or NVDA on Windows.
